Frenchay House
A warm and friendly retirement home opposite Frenchay Common, Frenchay House is a Grade 2 listed building. The Frome Valley Walkway runs across the village, there are a number of pubs and churches within walking distance.
Our Management Team, Home Manager Karin and Deputy Manager Elaine will be pleased to invite you to visit the home where we can offer residential care or a more independent way of living in one of our flats, many of which are on the ground floor. We have a number of en-suite bedrooms with private bathrooms and also offer the unique opportunity to stay in a private flat or suite with a bedroom, lounge, kitchenette and bathroom which can be personalised with small items of furniture and pictures. We offer facilities for couples to share if they wish to do so. The ground floor offers a communal lounge and dining room where residents can socialise, have meals and take part in activities and entertainment. We have a lift and a chairlift to access the upper floors.
Staff pay particular attention to creating a community feeling, involving residents in local events such as the local flower show and putting on their own events for residents to take part in. Residents are encouraged to get involved and take part in life in the home whether this is joining in with a show that the staff team are organising or helping with the daily tasks around the home if they wish to do so. Our Care Assistants have won the South Gloucestershire Care Awards, Caring Heroes Awards, the Great British Care Awards and the regional Care and Support West Awards being selected as finalists for the support they provide to our residents.
